MINJEE LEE WINS AFTER THRILLER.

72 holes were not enough. Only the playoff brought the result after four exciting days at the BMW Ladies Championship. At the extra hole, Minjee Lee triumphed with a birdie against Alison Lee and celebrated her second LPGA title of the season at the Seowon Valley Country Club.

After four rounds, the 27-year-old Australian and the 28-year-old American were still tied with a total score of 272 strokes (16 under par), but in the decisive playoff, Minjee Lee proved to have the better nerves.

"We always want to be putting ourselves in that position, in the contending position, week-in, week-out and I was lucky enough to do it this week," said the two-time major winner, who was thrilled by the environment in South Korea. "It's just really fun to play in those type of conditions and those situations, so I think I really had fun out there this week."

Minjee Lee prevailed against a top-class field. All four reigning major winners, Lilia Vu, Yin Rouning, Allisen Corpuz, and Celine Boutier, teed off in South Korea. In addition, eight of the twelve players who had previously won the Solheim Cup for Europe in Spain were present, but they all, including debutant Nelly Korda, had to admit defeat to the Australian.

FULLY ELECTRIC ENJOYMENT.

A hole-in-one at hole 14 would have earned a player a BMW i5, an ace at hole 16 a BMW i7, but unlike the previous year, when both BMWs were won in one day, no golfer secured one of the hole-in-one vehicles. Nevertheless, all players in South Korea were able to enjoy fully electric premium mobility, as they were shuttled by BMW i7 vehicles. In total, more than 100 BMW vehicles comfortably and safely transported golfers, officials, and fans to and from the golf course.
